Mr. Scott

“Mr. Scott” is the very first piece created in the studio.  This piece pays homage to Mr. Scott, who was known in the neighborhood as a wood craftsman.  Neighbors mentioned he made several different furniture items for them over the years. The wood in this piece is from Mr. Scott’s wood workshop.  I have since removed Mr. Scott’s workshop but I thought it was only fitting to use wood from his shop in some of the very first pieces I created in the studio that has been built in place of the shop.  Doing so also merges what once was with what is now standing in its place with a continued legacy of being creative and rediscovering that past.
