Confidence 

“Confidence” is one of my first drawings using ink and paper.  The lady in this work represents the experience of experiencing a caribbean carnival and seeing a female revelar.  A revelar during carnival season is a person or persons participating in the cultural activities through song and dance.  Highly attuned with themselves and the impersonation of what their culture means to them.  This particular drawing showcases the curves of the costume headpiece and radiating composure of the lady behind wearing it.
